The Most Efficient Performance Object Storage
The Digital Cage is optimized for mixed workloads of both large and small files. The Digital Cage's NoFS (Naked object File System) is highly efficient with regard to disk I/O, requiring only one I/O per read and two I/Os per write. This efficient model enables The Digital Cage to provide very high I/O rates for small files and very high throughput for large files. The large files are segmented and distributed across multiple drives to improve parallelism and throughput.

The Digital Cage's clustering technology is fully distributed with no single points of failure or bottlenecks. The Digital Cage's data management policies enable multiple copies of data to be replicated globally or distributed and protected by erasure code for disaster recovery, content distribution and collaboration. Local data protection schemes enable data rebuilds without WAN data transfers.
